Homeschool Day

May 17, 2025
Tours: 10am-Noon and 1pm-3pm

Every year, Wilder Farm offers tours to the schools in our area, allowing children to connect the book Farmer Boy, which they read as part of the curriculum, to the life of Almanzo in the North Country. Because we offer schools a reduced rate of admission, we'd like to open this opportunity to homeschool families.

Come see history and beloved literature brought to life, and connect with other homeschooling families. We will have two sessions, at 10 am - noon and 1 pm - 3 pm. Ticket prices are reduced to $5 per child, $10 per adult, and children 5 and under are free. All attendees must be registered, so we have the correct number of tour guides available.  This will include a tour geared toward young people. When not on the tour, enjoy a picnic lunch from home on our grounds or take a short hike to the Trout River.
